Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great spring break (if you had one)! Bo and I sure did! Although the weather was not ideal, we still enjoyed our trip to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. And it wasn't even the temperature that was the problem; it was the wind. But besides that, the trip was very relaxing and just what we needed. Here are some pictures from our spring break!

My grandma lives FWB, so we were able to stay with her while we were visiting. She lives in the most adorable little townhouse neighborhood that has all kinds of cute perks, like this alleyway that is behind her house (in high school this was THE spot to take myspace pictures haha)

We were able to go to the beach a few times, but the wind was just outrageous. Why spring break is in March, I will never know. Every year we try to go to the beach, we end up sitting out there fully clothed with blankets. Not really my idea of a fun beach trip, but the white sands and crystal-clear water make up for it.

On one of the chillier days we drove the Gulf Islands National Seashore from Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach. This was by far the most beautiful road I have ever driven on, The whole time you are surrounded by sand and sea on both sides of the road. So beautiful! This will for sure become a tradition for us from here on out.
While in Pensacola, we ate at "The Best Dive Restaurant" there, called Shaggy's. It was not the best. But hey we got some free Fat Tire beer, so it wasn't too bad.

On our last day we had a lovely dinner with my grandma and aunt at Red Lobster. Afterwards, Bo and I went to a new hookah bar in town, followed by going Fudpucker's in Destin. When we arrived there, we found out it was teen night (for ages 13-17) and let me just say, witnessing that was probably the funniest part of our whole trip. It was like being at a middle school dance and it was hilarious.

All in all, we really did have a great trip. It was nice to get out of Alabama for a week and see the beautiful white sands of the Gulf Coast. We also did a lot of filming for our short little SB2014 documentary that will be coming soon, so keep an eye out for that!

What did you do for spring break? Comment and let me know!

Spring break has finally begun! I seriously never thought this break would come and I could not be any happier. Bo and I are heading down to Fort Walton Beach, as I previously mentioned, and we are beyond excited! This has been a rough semester mentally, physically, and emotionally, so some time on the beach can definitely heal our higher education wounds! With that being said, I have put together a POLYVORE collection of what I personally consider to be essentials!
Spring Break Essentials

Also, you can check out my POLYVORE profile HERE !

This year was the first time in about 4 years that I have bought a two piece bathing suit, because thankfully the high waisted trend works on my figure. I'm very excited to show it off on the beach next week! I'm also obsessed with the colored mirror lens sunglasses trend. The ones above are from Forever 21, and I also have them in black. Chapstick and sunscreen are a must! EOS is by far my favorite chapstick brand, and because they are so oddly shaped they are easy to find when you are fumbling through your purse or beach bag! Also, I love spray on sunscreen. It is so much easier to apply than the sunscreen lotion (which is literally one of my least favorite things in the world to be honest) and I like to get the Sport version so sweat isn't much of a problem.

But what would "SB2K14" be without a good playlist? Something to blast while you are driving on the interstate, with windows down of course, on the way to your destination. Well fear not, for I have put on together for you! It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face :)

I hope everyone enjoyed this post, and  if you are also on spring break then make it a great one! My boyfriend Bo and I will be filming and documenting our trip, so hopefully we will have that coming for you all soon! Now I gotta go pack our suitcases!

Hello everyone! I have been very busy with school these past couple months, have been without my own computer, and it has all been exhausting. Hopefully it all pays off at the end of the semester, which is approaching very quickly! Thursday of this week is my last day of classes until my Spring Break starts. My wonderful boyfriend Bo and I will be visiting my grandma in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, and it is going to be amazing just to relax for the week. With that being said, here are my songs of the week for everyone who is already on Spring Break and everyone else out there counting down the minutes.
1. Ungirthed by Purity Ring
This song is not new by any means, but it is still catchier than ever. I adore this band, and they are awesome live. We saw them at Bonnaroo last summer and were blown away by how much she sounded like herself on the album, voice alterations and all. Very cool band that I have many fond memories attached to.
2. Stand Still (feat. Micky Green) [Wave Racer Remix] by Flight Facilities
This may just be the happiest song I've heard in months. Seriously. If you clicked play on this video and are currently listening and do not have a smile on your face, then you are wrong haha. Really though, Wave racer does some amazing things with adorable sounds, especially water/raindrops, and that's all you really need to draw me in!
3. I. the worst guys(feat. Chance the Rapper) by Childish Gambino
Yes, Childish Gambino again. He deserves it. This song is so chill, and the video fits the vibe perfectly. My favorite part about this video is when they are in the ocean and the camera is underwater. The music is muffled whilst underwater, but returns to normal above water. It's little quirks like this that make me appreciate a music video.
4. Mirror Maru by Cashmere Cat
Boy oh boy this song has been constantly playing in my head for day. Cashmere Cat's style is so quirky and unique, which naturally I was drawn to. I love the squeaky chair and syncopated beats are to die for.
5. Say That by Toro y Moi
SO GROOVY. I mean really. This used to play at rue21 when I worked there, but was just recently shown to me again by a friend. Everything about this is great. The video, the beats, and especially those glasses.

I hope you all enjoy these tunes! Are you on spring break now? Make sure you leave a comment about any exciting plans you may have!
