Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of school, and everything else you may have going on! My finals were last week and after a lot of unnecessary stress, I managed to pass all of my classes! One semester closer to finally graduating! So this past week has been the beginning and end of my summer vacation, because unfortunately I start summer classes on Monday. I have used this week to lay around my house doing nothing, have a yard sale, and waste countless hours on Pinterest. I must say, it as been very relaxing and exactly what I needed.

Since I have spent so much time on Pinterest (I'm almost ashamed to be honest, so addicting haha), I have felt so inspired all week to make something! So I headed to the closest Dollar Tree, picked up some supplies, and went to work! Here are some pictures!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1. A blank, white canvas
2. 2 packs of plastic cutlery (the kind that looks real)
3. 4 different colors of acrylic paint
4. Hot glue gun and glue sticks
5. Paint brush and palette (I used solo cups)
6. Water dish (I also used a solo cup haha)

STEPS!
1. Gather your supplies! I already had all the supplies other than the cutlery. I got it at my local Dollar Tree for a grand total of $2. The packs included knives also!
2. Paint the cutlery! I wanted a dipped effect, but did not have enough of the paint to fill a cup enough for a dip. Instead, I painted the front and back of each piece with a regular paintbrush. Depending on the colors you choose, a second coat may or may not be needed. I did a second just to be safe.
3. Let it dry! I allowed about 30 minutes of drying time so no marks are made on the canvas while placing them. Once they are dry, arrange them in whatever pattern or design you want!
4. Glue them on! I decided to lay them out on the canvas so I could individually pick them up and glue them. I put hot glue on the places where the cutlery is touching the canvas. But move quickly! That hot glue sure does dry fast.
5. Press them down! I made sure to firmly hold each piece for at least 15 seconds to ensure they are secure.
6. Voilà! You now have a simple yet chic new piece of kitchen art!

My boyfriend and I preparing to move soon, so I thought I would go ahead and start making a few new things for our new place! I loved this project and I can not wait to hang it in our new kitchen.

Just remember: BE CREATIVE! Throw the instructions I gave you out the window and do something completely different with it. Just have fun!

Inspiration is something that can be hard to find and easy to lose. Sometimes I get in an uncreative rut where I feel like I'm not inspired to do anything but watch Netflix and HBO GO. Those are the days where I turn to my laptop to find some inspiration. The internet really is a magnificent thing, and is something that I don't feel is used to it's full potential sometimes. There is just so much to look at! So many beautiful pictures, project ideas, organization tips, art pieces.... it really can be overwhelming sometimes.

My two favorite places to look for inspiration are Pinterest and Polyvore (you can click either link to visit my profiles!). I recently started following P.S. I made this (profile here!) on Pinterest and their Inspiration collages inspired me to make some of my own, and I thought I would share them with you! FLOWER POWER

Since this is the second and last weekend of Coachella. I thought I would use this weekend's set list as inspiration! If you didn't already know, Coachella is a huge music festival held in Indio, California. This is the festival to be seen at, and the one that celebrities frequent the most. I desperately wish to be there right now, but let's face it... I am a college student who can not afford to go to California for any reason right now. I will be going to Bonnaroo for the 3rd time this summer with my boyfriend Bo and my dad, so I will for sure be posting about that when the time comes. So anyways, let's take a listen!

1. Help Me Lose My Mind- Disclosure

2.Young Blood- The Naked And Famous

3.Roses- Outkast

4. 400 Lux- Lorde

5. While I'm Alive- STRFKR

Just wanted to do a quick post, I apologize for this not being more in depth haha. I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful day, and have a Happy Easter! Now it's time to do some studying for next week's finals...

After spending most of this gloomy Friday online window shopping (which to be honest, may be the rest of my day as well haha), I noticed one of my favorite new trends that are coming back...... Matching separates!

But what I found interesting is that the trend can also be found in activewear! Since I have started eating healthy and working out regularly, I have become obsessed with activewear. Personally I love Adidas, and they have embraced this matching trend. And I must say they have done so very well!

They may be loud, but this heavily patterned workout just makes me want to go to the gym! Because when you look good, you feel good! For more fitness fashion, check out my Pinterest HERE, or by clicking the icon under my about me!

Do you want to see more trending posts? Let me know in the comments! Also, if you are approaching finals week, good luck!

So I don't know about you guys, but school has got me STRESSED (Part of the reason I have not been posting lately). With only a week before finals week, I must say I have a lot on my plate. Whether you are a college student or used to be one, you know how hard it is around this time of year. And if you are trying to finally finish school like I am, you may be taking summer classes, like I am. It really feels like it's never ending, and the option of giving up seems so intriguing...... STOP. You have already come this far, so why throw it all away now? Trust me, I have wanted to drop out of school to become a bartender too. But knowing that what I am doing today is going to benefit future me makes it all worth it.

Some things that helps me push through the day are my lovely boyfriend and friends, working out, YouTube videos, and inspirational quotes! So lame, so cliché, yeah yeah yeah. But reading a quote can really bring you back down to Earth. Knowing that you are not the only person feeling the way you do can help you calm down and get back on your feet! Plus, there are so many quote graphics to choose from! Here are a few of my favorites!

Don't you feel a little better now? What I'm trying to get at here is that you are beautiful. You are worthy. You are amazing. YOU CAN DO THIS! Whatever mountain it may be, go climb it!
But if quotes just aren't cutting it, listen to this pep talk from our kid president! If you have already seen it, watch it again! This lil guy never fails to bring a smile to my face!

If you are in need of more quotes like the ones above, visit my Pinterest page via the buttons to the left under my about me!

Now go embrace this beautiful Thursday we have been given, and remember.....tomorrow is Friday (Herald trumpets play, angels begin to sing, rainbows begin to appear, etc.)

This week I have gone with a theme: GIRL POWER. I've always seemed to be more into bands with female singers, or all female for that matter. SO THIS WEEK GOES OUT TO ALL THE GIRLS IN THE WORLD, enjoy!
1. Fancy- Iggy Azalea ft. Charlie XCX
Iggy Azalea is someone I was actually following on Instagram and had no idea she was a singer. When I saw Charlie XCX post about the video on Insta, I checked it out and fell in love. SO CATCHY. And the video....everything about this homage to Clueless is a 90's girl's dream come back to life.
2. Say You'll Be There- MØ
FIRST OF ALL why has there not already been a cover to any Spice Girls songs? I mean really, they are all amazing songs. So I was VERY excited when I discovered this cover by MØ. I love her style, especially when it comes to her fashion choices. Definitely someone to keep your eye on.
3. If I Could Change You're Mind- HAIM
The Haim sisters are a perfect mix of  LA and soft rock. This is one of those you-can't-sit-still-because-it's-so-groovy songs. Perfect for this warmer weather we are beginning to have. These girls have gotten pretty big over the past year, and I can't wait to see what they will do next!
4. Elephant-Warpaint
Ahhhh,Warpaint. We go pretty far back. This is a band that one of my best friends Eric and I have been listening to together since our freshman year of college. Needless to say, they have only gotten better throughout the years. This song is so hauntingly intriguing that you can't just listen to it once. An all girl band that is worth looking into.
5. Put Your Curse On Me- Stonefield
I stumbled upon this band today, and the first thing I thought was, "Wow, this sounds like something my dad would actually like" (I already posted this video to his facebook wall). With that being said, I LOVE THIS. It's always good to see that good girl bands still exist, but good rock&roll from a girl band? Now that's hard to come by. I will for sure be looking more into this band.

BONUS!!!!!
6. Hand In My Pocket-Alanis Morissette
There can not ever be a collection of girl power songs without Alanis involved. This song is and always will be in my top 10 favorite songs ever. This song is an anthem for twenty-somethings everywhere to this day. And it always will be. And should be!

Now go get in your car, put the windows down, blast these songs, and enjoy!
